Tips & Tricks
1.5 will keep contents hot UP TO 4 hours, so check out these tricks to get the most out of your 1.5.
1. Fill it up. The more food in the RIGWA the better as it cuts down on cooler “air space”.
Example: Soup or oatmeal filled closer to the top will stay hot much longer than if filled half way.
Tips:
If RIGWA 1.5 is too large, check out 1.5 Inserts or our PINT fresh and PINT go models coming soon!
2. Food density is key. Cutting out any air space between food helps retain temps longer.
Example: Oatmeal, Pasta, Soup / Stew retain temps much longer than a chicken leg and loose veggies.
3. Priming never hurts. Not necessary, but many customers like to “prime” their RIGWA with warm / hot water prior to putting hot foods inside.
Example: Fill your RIGWA with hot water and let sit for 30 seconds or so. Empty water from RIGWA and then fill with your food.
4. Keep the lid on. Each time the lid is removed, significant heat is released.
5. Storage temps. Its a beautiful day out… or is it? Although RIGWA 1.5 is double wall and vacuum insulated, keeping your RIGWA in very cold temps will reduce the amount of time it will retain heat.

A Good Bowl: Color of lid and bowl exactly like picture, great neutral color. Size is large for one person but great for two sharing. Stainless steel interior does not hold the smell of the previous meal, important for switching from savory to sweet. The lid is EASY to open, the daughter can handle it on her own, but it is also secure, I don't worry about the food spilling in my travel bag. Favorite use is for yogurt with cut fruit or hummus dip and veggies/pitas. I dont have to worry about the food getting warm, it has been at the desired temperature every time. We don't stay still (visiting 5 countries this summer) and want to eat healthy. Additionally, I like the inserts for this because everything stays in their compartment till eating. Overall, a good bowl that will be getting alot of use.

I own multiple Rigwa Bowls, inserts, and the Bamboo utensils. This product has been extremely well thought out, and for a local business, I will continue to support Rigwa for a long time.
For one, the colors are super slick. The powder coat finish has no issues in the dish washer, and neither do the inserts. The bowls themselves keep colder foods at chilled temps for around 8 hours, and warmer foods (which I pack a lot) for about 4 hours. Perfect for camping, meal prepping, hiking and more. I am a fly fishing guide and utilize the bowls to pack lunches for clients.
The accessibility of meal planning with Rigwa is so much easier, and better for the environment. I am all about sustainability, and the team at Rigwa values that so highly as well. Try one out - you will not be disappointed.

I love my Rigwa merchandise! I have 3 of the stainless steel bowls so far, and 2 of the inserts. I use the bowls for both my hot and cold food. I especially love using my inserts to separate my food items for lunch. The different colors of the bowls make for a cute way to place your sides into when having a dinner party and an easy clean up for after by just putting the lid on and packing away your leftovers! I actually used 2 of mine at Christmas to house the collards and black eyed peas and it kept them nice and warm until ready to be served! I use mine around the house for left overs. Because it is insulated, I can pour hot soup into it and not burn my fingers putting it into the refrigerator. That also means they are the perfect bowl to eat soup out of. I've also used it to take to restaurants as my "doggy bag." The top is fairly easy to get on and off with my arthritic fingers. Because of the shape, these are easy to eat out of and easy to clean. They nest/stack well in the cupboard when not being used.

It kept guacamole made on a Wednesday vibrant, green, and fresh smelling on the following Sunday! That’s insane! Everyone knows fresh guac won’t make it more than two days, yet mine made it five. I also refreshed some sad looking strawberries in my Rigwa Life bowl, and normally ice and water does the trick. These came out looking fresh as a daisy and I’m convinced it’s due to the insulation of the bowl. I highly recommend you get one ASAP.
