Are RIGWA products dishwasher safe?
Yes, RIGWA products are all dishwasher safe - on the top rack.
We do recommend handwashing when possible to maximize product life for years and prevent heat and water marks that can occur from high heat dishwashers over time.
Tip: RIGWA products are built for easy, quick clean up and can usually be hand washed in seconds due to our unique materials and minimalist design. Use dishwasher for those hard to clean meals or crazy days.
Are RIGWA containers microwave safe?
Yes and no. *See details below.
Our stainless steel containers ARE NOT microwave safe.
Our insert containers made of Tritan and silicone ARE microwave safe.
We recommend microwave use for reheating purposes only, using low times and low heat.
Tip: microwave for 30 - 60 seconds then stir food. Repeat as needed until food is reheated perfectly.

How long do RIGWAs keep food hot / cold?
RIGWA containers each have unique designs, offering different performance with temperature control. Please see the details below for our core products.
*All temperature times are optimized when using a RIGWA Tote Cooler Bag or similar insulated bag / cooler.
POD Food Jar:
Best performance, keeping food HOT up to 5 hours and COLD up to 8 hours.
Fresh Bowl:
Good performance, keeping food HOT up to 4 hours and COLD up to 8 hours.
REX Bento Box:
Average performance, keeping food HOT up to 2 hours and COLD up to 3 hours.
Tips:
- Use a cooler bag to lock in temps & improve performance.
- Air is the enemy! Fill up your containers with food to reduce air inside the containers.
- Be aware of outside temps and store wisely.
